Why does my new egg / muffin pan feel like it has a film on it?

The surface of the egg/muffin pan may initially have a slippery substance on it due to the manufacturing process. The manufacturing mold that the pan is made on uses a nonstick substance that may feel slippery.  Wash the pan with soap and warm water and it will be ready to use.

Liquid is dripping from the back of the unit. Why? What can I do?
Sometimes when high moisture and/or high fat foods are cooked the air circulation system can indirectly cause liquid to collect in the body in the unit. This may result in some drippings from the back of the unit. We recommend placing a rimmed baking pan or aluminum foil under the area to catch any drips.
